There was a time, a time in days of old when things were different. In our heads, we often try and write down every small detail and feeling, every experience, every thought and every memory, even the bad ones - those precious memories. Some of which are inextricably entwined with what we love in music, in words and in songs.

While running through my CD collection one day, lots of old tracks that I used to listen to, those buried and forgotten, made me dwell there a little longer than I should. I remember the time when I felt exceptionally happy listening and relistening to them. They were a delight - those that I used to love, used to favour, and used to dance to, used to sing along to. Those that would never fail to evoke the emotions within me. Now I remember more and more...

These “old songs” might be quite old-fashioned, might be heard by too many people, might be quite un-heard of, and might even be considered awful by some. But don't we find that we could just be so surprised and touched by those songs which are our everlasting favorites, for what they had brought us when we were younger: those we shared with our best friends and also who share similar tastes with us; the saddest songs that you and the one who broke your heart both loved; those that stirred and roused your heart and soul, and maybe the few we particularly loved but nobody else did.

Some of these songs date back to my secondary school, junior college and university days...they seemed like a long time ago. And almost each song has stories behind it, and could be related to one or a few persons or experiences in my life. Sweet, bittersweet, or just so bitter, they could still make me laugh or make me cry. Each one personal, each unique.

And then I remember them again:
